Justin is a new director who will be joining RISK and he will be directing the first half year course. After finishing his education for becoming a musical actor at the Willem Nijholt Academie he realized he didn't want to be a musical actor: his ambitions were more about teaching and creating. Because of this reason Justin has worked at many different places, from amateur theatre to student theatre and theatre for youth. Momentarily he is still studying part time at the Toneelacademie Maastricht.

'This year will be the first time that RISK will work with musical theatre. I will make a musically performed version of the Greek tragedy of Ifiginea. The piece tells the tale of Agamemnon, who wants to sacrifice his daughter Ifiginea to the Gods in order to get good wind to go into battle. The style of these plays is characterized by an chorus that makes up the ensemble and gives information about the actions. I want to let this chorus be portrayed through urban/rap influences. In short, I will bring classical theatre to the streets. The actors will develop a feeling for language, rhythm, musicality, text interpretation and acting techniques. This play will be my graduation play for the Maastricht Academy for the Performing Arts.'
